AYURVEDIC ASPECT ON BRAIN TUMOR

The tumors can be correlated to “Arbuda” according to the Ayurvedic principles. The arbuda is described as a condition that arises due to the imbalance because of a hindrance among the three fundamental elements i.e. vata, pitta, kapha. It is caused by imbalance of vata, pitta, kapha which further disturbs the balance of mansa dhatu and rakta dhatu. This will lead to formation of masapinda (tumor). This can occur in any part of the body . This will be slightly painful, and its size increases gradually – growth rate is slow. It is stated that the arbuda (tumor) is majorly caused due to the imbalance of levels of kapha dosha, and medo dhatu. Hence, the treatment regimen would include restoring the balance and equilibrium between the various elements of the body.
