Abstract

Rocky Mountain spotted fever is a potentially fatal rickettsial infection that’s usually caused by the bite of a tick infected with rickettsia group bacteria.   • Remove a tick with tweezers: Firstly grasp the tick gently near its mouth. Don’t crush the tick and pull carefully. Once you have to remove the tick, remove it and wash the bite area with soap and water. After soaking the tick, wash your hands properly and flush down the tick.

COMPLICATIONS

  • Inflammation of the brain: Rocky Mountain spotted fever can cause inflammation of the brain which can cause severe headaches, confusion and seizures.
  • Kidney problem: Your kidneys filter waste from your blood and the blood vessels. Your kidneys are very small and damage to these vessels can result in kidney failure also.

DEFINITION

Diaper Rash is the common form of inflamed skin with redness and rash present on the buttocks or genital area. This inflammation is caused by prolonged contact with the wet/damp diapers. These rashes occur at the site of exposure to a substance that is capable of producing an allergic reaction or inflammation of the skin. In some areas, the skin may become raw or even bleed.
