Ayurvedic Overview

त्रयो दोषा बलस्योक्ता व्यापद्वि स्रंसनक्षयाः । (सु.सू  १५ /३०)

There are three kinds of ojodosha.

• Ojo Visramsa- Displacement from its natural place.
• Ojo Vyapat- Ojas get vitiated by dosha and dusya.
• Ojahksaya- Decrease in its quantity.

Hetu (Etiological Factors) of Oja Kshaya

अभिघातात् क्षयात् कोपाच्छोकाद्धयानाच्छ्र मात् क्षुधः

ओजः सड्.क्षीयते ह्योभ्यो धातु ग्रहणनिः सृतम्।

तेजः समीरितं तस्माद्विस्त्रंसयति देहिनः ।। (सु.सू  १५ /२८)

Trauma or injury, tissue depletion (dhatuksaya), anger, sadness, anxiety, fatigue, hunger, etc. For reasons Ojas decreases, causing dhatus to flow out and affect tejas, and provoked by Vata, causing many disturbances in the body.

मूर्च्छा मांसक्षयो मोह: प्रलापोऽज्ञानमेव च ।

पूर्वोक्तानि च लिङ्गानी मरणं च बलक्षये ।। (सु.सू  १५ /३२)
