Ayurveda is a conventional medical system that was developed in India thousands of years ago. To encourage healing and equilibrium in the body, it makes use of natural therapies such herbs, food changes, and lifestyle adjustments. An individual’s constitution, or dosha, is thought to be what defines their physical, emotional, and mental traits in ayurvedic philosophy. Ayurveda aims to maintain total health and wellbeing by balancing the doshas. According to Ayurveda, immunity is influenced by a number of complex interactions between dietary choices, way of life, and the harmony of the doshas. Instead of lowering immunity, Ayurveda emphasizes encouraging harmony in the body and mind to support good immune function. Nevertheless, some Ayurvedic herbs and treatments are thought to have immune-suppressing qualities.

For instance, the herb Guduchi (TinosporaCordifolia), which has a long history of use in Ayurveda, can sometimes be administered in greater dosages to suppress the immune system. Note that only a competent Ayurvedic practitioner or healthcare professional should be consulted when using Ayurvedic therapies. Herbs and other natural therapies may interact with other medications or health issues, and they may also have unintended effects. Therefore, before using any Ayurvedic remedies to weaken immunity or for any other medical condition, it is imperative to seek professional advice. Moreover, it reduces the body’s immunity, which makes the body more susceptible to illnesses. There are various herbal products that can be used as an alternative to azathioprine drug such as curcumin (Curcumin longa), guggal (Commiphora wightii) and guduchi (Tinospora Cordifolia).
