Ocular Surface Disease (OSD)

DISEASES OF OCULAR SURFACE WITH SYMPTOMS

  4. Sensitivity to light
  5. Eye discomfort
  6. Slow blinking
  7. Redness of eyes

3. Neurotrophic keratitis

This occurs in some cases in which the trigeminal nerve is paralysed, typically as a result of radical treatment for trigeminal neuralgia (a type of chronic pain that involves severe and sudden facial pain) and leads to decreased corneal sensitivity. Only a few cases develop neurotrophic keratitis, the tendency being decreased if there is an adequate tear film.

Symptoms

  1. Vision impairment
  2. Photophobia
  3. Lacrimation
  4. Redness of eyes

Symptoms

  1. Burning sensation
  2. Irritation
  3. Dry eye
  4. Watery eyes
  5. Red eyes
  6. Photophobia
  7. Blurred vision

DIAGNOSIS

The following are the diagnostic test

  1. Comprehensive eye exam- In this various eye tests are performed by a doctor to check out the abnormality of the eyes. It includes visual acuity, preliminary test, keratometry, refraction etc.
  2. Schirmer test: It measures the amount of tears produced. If the value drops below 6 mm after 5 minutes, a diagnosis of dry eye can be made and the normal value is 10-25 mm.
  3. Osmolarity test: It measures the osmolarity of your tears. It is done specially for dry eyes
  4. Magnetic resonance imaging It is the technique to rule out the cause of neurotrophic keratitis.

CONCLUSION

Fractures can range from minor cracks to complete fractures and can occur in any bone. Conditions such as physical trauma, overuse, and osteoporosis are common causes of fractures. Additionally, a person’s bones tend to weaken after aging. This increases their risk of fracture. The body can heal most broken bones, but treatment usually involves keeping the broken bone in place. Planet Ayurveda has a combined package called the FRACTURE HEALING PACK. It can be easily purchased from the Planet Ayurveda store. Also, follow the nutritional guidelines listed above for best results.
