Abstract

When the term viagra is discussed there is one thing that surely comes into mind that using “Viagra is like putting a new flagpole on a condemned building.” Sounds hilarious but if seen practically viagra is something that works for a lot of people in that way. Male population falls under the majority who consume viagra. Now -a- days even young people are using Viagra without knowing its side effects. From here the question arises that what is the reason behind using viagra and why people need to be afraid of its side effects? In this article we will discuss viagra in detail along with its side effects and best herbal alternatives.

Introduction

In present times viagra has become something which is no longer an older man’s drug. This is something exciting and to be worried about as well at the same time. Exciting because now there is no age boundation for using viagra but worrying because of the fact that even young generations need viagra. Let’s into the details of Viagra. Viagra is a drug which is taken to increase the blood flow to the penis and improves erectile function. But the point is why is Viagra needed? The answer is quite simple either to get purely excited using extra stimulus for sexual intercourse or when you want to have sex but your genitals are not with you because you don’t get the Erections.

Not just in case of males, even in females to last long in bed, or to pleasure your partner more or to get more wet. But these types of stimulus can cause serious derangement of hormones and thus create a lot of problems in later on stages.

What does viagra do?

Viagra is having a smooth muscle relaxation effect. The smooth muscles of the penis or the genitals gets relaxed and the blood flow is increased resulting in arousal. In case of females the arousal is understood when the vagina is lubricated with the secretions and male arousal is understood or defined by erection.

Which Viagra is called best for males & Females?

A Viagra named Sildenafil citrate is known to stimulate good sexual arousals in males. It must be taken at least 30 min before the intercourse, best is one hour ago but not more than 4 hours before. This is to be taken orally only once daily.

On the other hand, Viagra named Flibanserin and bremelanotide are called the best viagra for females. But these Females need to injectare best for those who have not reached menopause. bremelanotide into the thigh muscle or the abdominal muscles at least 45 minutes before the Sexual Intercourse. Only eight doses of this per month are recommended and its effect sustains for 24 hours or more sometimes.

In the case of Flibanserin, this is designed as pills instead of injections. This can be taken orally on a regular basis even if there is no intention of sexual intercourse. It can be taken up to 8 weeks to observe improvement in sexual desire. Though effects can also come sooner. Though the Female Viagra are not approved by the FDA (Food & Drug Administration).

Now moving forward lets discuss the side effects of Viagra

Side effects of Viagra

Viagra has side effects in both genders. The list of side effects along with explanation are as following:

1. Headaches

The headaches are quite common as a side effect of taking viagra. This can include cluster headaches and migraines. The explanation suggests that Viagra primarily affects blood vessels in the penis and can also affect blood vessels in other parts of the body. Thus have the potential to promote or introduce chemical changes in brain causing headaches

2. Flushing

Many people reported (Around 20% of the population who consume viagra) that they experience skin flushing after the intake of viagra. As mentioned above the viagra affects the blood vessels other than your genitals too so when the vessels beneath your skin dilate or widen you can feel the warmth. This also goes away without treatment but yes can be bothersome in case of bremelanotide as it is to be taken for a longer duration.

3. Upset Stomach

As discussed before the smooth muscles relax under the effect of viagra. In this case the smooth muscles of the gastrointestinal system can also get relaxed causing digestion troubles like discomfort, heartburn etc.

4. Stuffy Nose

The stuffy nose is one other side effect of Viagra. The viagra affects the blood vessels to your sinuses. It widens the blood vessels in the sinuses thus causing congestion.

5. Nose bleeds

The increased blood flow and widening of the blood vessels causes blood to ooze out from small capillaries as well resulting in nosebleeds. These nosebleeds can be recurrent if you are taking viagra regularly.

6. Low Blood Pressure

As viagra causes blood vessels to relax or dilate, this can lower your blood pressure. This can cause lightheadedness or dizziness or even weakness. In general changes can cause prolonged erections along with vision changes. Vision changes include vision loss, abnormal vision etc.

Before discussing anything about Viagra, it has been mentioned that

In present times viagra has become something which is no longer an older man’s drug. This is something exciting and to be worried about as well at the same time. Exciting because now there is no age boundation for using viagra but worrying because of the fact that even young generations need viagra

Why is Viagra no longer an Older Men’s drug anymore?

The answer to this question is quite simple and the answer is bad eating habits, alcoholism and lifestyle which do not include any physical activity. Ayurveda suggests that whenever there are alterations in the diet or lifestyle low libido, low sex desire, difficulty involving in sexual activity, erectile dysfunction type of conditions appear. Earlier viagra was required to old class only but now the younger generation is forced or willing to take it because they are facing problems and they are not able to point at the root cause of the problem. The root cause is bad eating, following a sedentary lifestyle, not sleeping or sleeping too much and intake of drugs and alcohol.

Even if you are facing such problems it’s better to bring positive and required changes in your life then opting for Viagra.
